Show Gratitude and Simply Say Thank You

To you, thank you!

Tis the season of giving thanks. Giving thanks for all of the blessings that we have in life. From the people that touch our lives on a daily basis, all the way down to the adversities that challenges us, and push us to grow into the people that we are. It doesn’t matter how good or bad, just simply say thank you.

I know for me, I oftentimes have difficulties saying thank you. To other people, and to myself. Actually, I dare say that we all have difficulties with it. You know, when somebody tells us that we did a good job, we will most likely respond by saying “Thank you, but… I think I could have done better.” or “Thank you, but… you didn’t have to do that.”

Why can’t we just accept a compliment? I mean, if somebody is taking their time to give us a compliment, the least we can do is to acknowledge them, and accept their compliment. There just isn’t a need for any other response.

So I want to do something a little bit different today. I want to simply say thank you. In the season of giving thanks, I just want you to know how much I appreciate YOU, and how much of an impact YOU are making in my life.

Thank you for following along, and showing interest in my life.

If you are reading this, I truly can’t express to you how thankful I am that you are taking the time out of your days to follow along on my journey. Every single time that you read one of my stories, know that just simply by reading, you are giving me endless amounts of motivation. Motivation to not only continue writing about my life, but motivation to continue to push myself everyday to be the best that I can be.

Thank you for the compliments, shares, and feedback.

I first started writing because I wanted to challenge myself to follow my dreams, and because I wanted to help change as many lives as I possibly could through something that I believe in. Over the course of the last seven months, I have received messages from people whom I have never met before simply encouraging me to continue telling my story, or thanking me for helping to make a different. This is pretty cool.

And for that, thank you. Thank you for sharing how my writing has impacted you, thank you for sharing my life with others, and thank you for taking the time out of your day to give me motivation. That alone has made every second of writing worth it.

Thank you for supporting my dream on a daily basis.

While you may not know this, you are supporting my dreams on a daily basis. Like I said, my motivation for writing is to help others, and to challenge myself. That is what I am doing right here, and that is what you have so graciously been supporting.

By liking one of my blog posts, by sharing it, or acknowledging it in some way or another, you are helping to support my dreams. For that, I can’t thank you enough.

Thank you for being you, and for allowing me to be me.

It’s weird, but I never knew that people would like me for who I truly am. Maybe that is why it took me twenty-five years to finally quit caring about what others thought of me. But let me tell you, I am glad that I did.

In the process, I have found who my true friends are, who is really there to support me, and more importantly, I have found myself. Believe it or not, that may not have happened without you continuing to support me, and challenge me to be the best version of myself that I can possibly be.

This was somewhat of a different post, but I just wanted to say thank you for everything that you have done for me. You have continued to support me, motivate me, and encourage me to follow my dreams. You have also continued to challenge me to be the best person that I can possibly be. And for that, all I can do is simply say thank you.

Take some time out of your day today, and just let somebody else know how thankful you are for what they do for you. Show gratitude, and simply say thank you.
