Hawaiian Adventures Day 2
Day number two was yet again another day that I will never forget. I have officially decided that I will not be returning home. Instead, I will be staying on the Island of Hawaii for the rest of my life. This place is far too beautiful to ever leave.
We started off the morning with a beautiful walk around the ground of The Fairmont Orchid. Surrounded by golf courses, cabanas, and the beautiful beaches of Hawaii, I realized that this was it. This is how life is supposed to be lived.
When I used to picture Hawaii, I would think about all of the scenes from the movies where people would go to the beach, sit on a rock, and just stare out into the ocean. The thing is, that is exactly what a lot of people do, and that is what I found myself doing as well. I walked down, found a tipped over tree, and let my mind wander.
There is something so peaceful about listening to the waves crash against the rocks, and staring off out into the distant sea. It is almost as if nothing else in the world matters except for the calm and peacefulness that is surrounding you.
You know, a walk can really work up an appetite. Being from Minnesota, it is very difficult to get good quality seafood. So, when I am visiting a destination that is near to the ocean, I make sure to eat my fair share of seafood.
After driving thirty miles into Kona to get a GoPro, my mom and I decided to check out a local sushi place called Sushi Shiono. Let me be the first to say that this was by far the best sushi that I have ever had in my entire life. I know that is not saying much being that I am from Minnesota, but still, it tasted incredible.
A California roll, a spicy tuna roll, and a heaping bowl of rice later, I could barely get back to the car. The only thing that I wanted was a pillow, and my bed. The food coma was real, and it felt incredible.
Following a late lunch, we drove back to the hotel, and relaxed for a few hours before a dinner event.
The dinner event, that was something special as well. It was one of those events where there is a lot of security, a lot of bodyguards, and apparently, a lot of dogs that really don’t want to be petted. Yes, I made a mistake and went to pet a police dog before getting yelled at by it’s handler.
The good thing, though, was that the event was on the beach. This meant that I got to enjoy the beautiful Hawaiian sunset. There are honestly no words to describe how beautiful a Hawaiian sunset it. It is one of those things that just takes your breath away.
I don’t know what it is about Hawaii, but everything, and I mean everything is nothing short of stunning. The grass is green, the water is clear, the air smells incredible, and the sunsets are stunning.
How could you top off a night any other way than having a piece of key lime pie from Tommy Bahama.
What I have realized the most while being on this vacation, is that this is exactly how I want to live my life. I want to live the new rich lifestyle.
Some people may dream of being rich, having fancy cars, and enormous mansions. Me, I just want to travel. I want to jump from destination to destination, and just experience all that this amazing world has to offer. There are so many beautiful places that we never get to experience in life.
