I Promised Myself That I Will Be The Best

I’ve made a promise to myself. I promised myself that I will be the best. Whatever it takes and however long it takes, I will achieve anything and everything that I want to achieve. There will be absolutely nothing that can or will stop me from accomplishing the success that I envision myself having. I know exactly what it is that I want to achieve in my life, and I will settle for nothing less.

Some may think that this sounds a bit ignorant, and who knows, maybe it is. Personally, I don’t believe it to be ignorant because I, in no way, shape, or form believe to be better than anybody else. I think of it as attracting the things that I want in life. You know, the Law of Attraction.

The promise that I made to myself wasn’t to be the best in comparison to other people. Rather, it was to be the best that I can be each and every day. I can’t control what others do in their lives, but I can control what I do. I will do whatever is required of me to be a better person today than I was yesterday, and I will do whatever is required of me to turn all of my dreams into my reality. And because I want to be the best, I will attract what my version of being the best looks like.

If you want to be the best and if you want to have the best, then you need to attract the best. If you are not willing to envision yourself being the best and having the best, then whatever your best looks like simply won’t find it’s way into your life.

Think of it like this:

Let’s say that it is your goal to make a million dollars per year. How badly do you want to make a million dollars per year? Are you willing to imagine yourself having millions of dollars before you have even earned a penny? Can you bear to imagine all of the struggles that you are going to have to overcome in order to earn a million dollars? Do you have the courage and willingness to cut ties with your past in order to move in the only direction that matters, forward?

These are all things that need to be done in order to be the best. If we want to earn the million dollars that we say we do, then we have to be willing to imagine ourselves having completed our goals before we even start. We have to imagine ourselves overcoming even the most horrific of struggles before we have endured them, and we have to be willing to cut ties with our past and focus solely on forward progress. After all, it is forward progress which will lead us to becoming the best.

To be successful is to have imagined yourself being successful far before you have actually achieved that success. It is that vision of success that will motivate you and continue to push you forward when you encounter challenges. It is that image of success that will push you forward when you don’t know which direction to head in. It is that image of success that will open new doors of opportunity that you never even knew existed. It is that image of success that will, in turn, help you to become successful.

Everybody who has achieved any of their dreams in life has done so because they envisioned themselves achieving their dreams. They had the vision of what their dreams looked like, pictured themselves living their dreams, and settled for nothing less.

They used that vision of having achieved their dreams to motivate them in the times in which they needed motivation, and they used that vision to overcome the obstacles that they encountered along the way. It is solely because they dreamed of achieving their dreams that they were able to actually achieve their dreams in the first place. There was no Plan B. The only thing that mattered was being their best and never settling for anything less.

The thing is, you and I are no different than any of the people that we look up to. You and I can also achieve any and all of our dreams, and we will. As long as you are willing to envision what your success looks like, and as long as you never settle for anything but your best, then there isn’t anything that you can’t achieve.
