As I have continued to implement the Law of Attraction into my daily life, this is a question that I have somewhat hesitated with. Does the law of attraction make you arrogant?
Alongside this main question also comes a slew of other questions. Do you have to believe that you are the best at everything in order for the Law of Attraction to work for you? Will the Law of Attraction work if you don’t see yourself as being the best? Does the Law of Attraction even require you to feel as though you are the best?
What is The Law of Attraction?
To be completely honest, the Law of Attraction doesn’t mean that you believe you’re the best at something.
The Law of Attraction means that you believe that the universe creates and provides for you that which your thoughts are focused on. It is believed by many to be a universal law by which “Like always attracts like.”
It isn’t magic like some (my old self included) think of it to be. The Law of Attraction means you believe that you envision yourself possessing all that you desire. It isn’t about having more than everybody else or being the best. It’s about believing that you possess the desires that you seek. And in the case where you don’t yet possess these desires, you believe you are more than capable of possessing them and it’s only a matter of time before you actually do.
The Law of Attraction and Gravity
Think of the Law of Attraction similar to gravity.
If you are standing at the top of a building and drop a coin, what happens to that coin? Gravity pulls it down to the ground. Through the unchanging Law of Gravity, the ground attracts the coin, and no matter how hard we try to fight that or how high we throw the coin, gravity will always win.
The Law of Attraction works the same way.
Have you ever wondered why successful people tend to attract more success, how rich people tend to attract more riches, or how happy people tend to attract more happiness?
It’s because of the Law of Attraction. It’s because these individuals believe that they are already in possession of the things that they desire the most, and because of the power of belief, the Universe helps them to find more of their desires.
The Universe will only give us the very things that we desire. The more we envision and focus on the things that we want, the more we attract them. And when I say “things,” it can be anything from money, thoughts, moods, relationships, objects, etc. Literally, anything that you think about and envision for yourself, you will attract more of it.
Use the Law of Gravity for example. In this case, you are the ground and the things in which you desire are the coin. The more you focus on them, the more they start to migrate towards you. It doesn’t matter how many challenges, difficulties, or roadblocks you experience along the way because you know that, eventually, you will possess the things in which you focus on.
The first of the three laws in the Law of Attraction is this:
Like Attracts Like
This means the more you think about things and attract them into your life, the more they start to migrate towards you.
You Only Get What You Ask For
The first way to manifest the things that you want in life is to decide what it is that you really want. Whether it is more money, more happiness, stronger relationships, more success, higher confidence, you have to truly decide on what it is that you want, and then envision yourself already having these things.
The reason why this works is because when you take the time to envision the things that you desire the most, you start to believe that you already possess them. When you start to believe that you already possess them, you almost get this feeling that you were meant to have the things that you desire.
In the long run, not only will the Universe help you to attract the things that you want, but you will also be more inclined to continue working towards the things that you want in life if you can picture yourself with them.
You only get in life the things that you ask for. If you don’t ask for the things that you want and actually believe that you have the power and ability to possess them, then how could you possibly expect to ever have them?
Does the Law of Attraction Make You Arrogant?
It took me a little bit of time, but I finally realized that the Law of Attraction doesn’t mean that you are arrogant.
Nowhere does the Law of Attraction say or suggest that you need to think you’re better than anybody else or that you deserve more than others in order for it to work. It simply means that you know what it is that you want in life, that you believe you are worthy of possessing the things that you want, and that you envision yourself having the things that you want.
It’s more about acknowledging your desires and believing in your ability to achieve these desires than anything else.
In order to be considered arrogant, you would need to think that you are more important or more capable than others. That’s not what the Law of Attraction suggests. In fact, the Law of Attraction doesn’t say anything about others.
When you want to attract certain things just for the sake of social popularity or feelings of being better than others, that’s just arrogance and ego speaking. These are completely different concepts from the Law of Attraction, so don’t be fooled and question whether or not they are the same as I had.
Before You Go
Let the Law of Attraction work for you. If you don’t want others knowing that you believe in the Law of Attraction, don’t publicize it. But do yourself a favor and start believing in it.
How do we get what we want in life? We ask for it.
The Law of Attraction is no different. If you want something, you just need to be willing to ask for it, believe that you are capable of possessing it, and work hard until you achieve it. The more you ask, the more you believe, and the more you envision, the more the Universe will help direct the very things you wish to receive.
