The best tips to help make Mondays better
Happy freaking Monday everyone. I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love Mondays. Call me crazy, I know. But seriously, I love the fact that I get to look forward to a full week. I wasn’t always this cheery about the day that most people dread. In fact, I used to hate Mondays for basically the same reason I know love them. Instead of disliking Monday, I forced myself to start looking at the bright side of things to help improve my perception. Here are some of the best tips to help make Mondays better.
- Skip the snooze button
If you want your week to get off on the right foot, you have to get your butt out of bed. Get hungry at the fact that you have a week to chase success. Once you hit that snooze button, telling your body that it actually isn’t time to get going. This can cause you to feel more groggy and on edge throughout the day.So most importantly, get up right away and get after it.
- Smile and tell yourself it’s going to be a great day and a great week
We have the ability to do anything that we set our minds to. After avoiding the snooze button and getting out of bed, smile and tell yourself that it is going to be a great day. Want to know why it’s going to be a great day? Because it is another opportunity to see the people you love and chase the dreams you have worked for. You can do or be anything that you want to be, all you have to do is work for it.
- See it as a new week, a new start
Whether you had a good or a bad week last week, Monday is a new opportunity to grow. One week will never define you as a person. Let’s start it out on a good note and say you had a good week last week. Well, now you get to challenge yourself to make this week even that much better. If you had a bad week, now you get the opportunity to redeem yourself and show what you are truly made of.
- Set the pace for the entire week
Mondays are important because it sets the pace for the rest of the week. If you have a bad Monday, odds are that you are going to have a bad week. If you have a good Monday, you have a better chance to be happier and more productive throughout the week. You can never win the week after the first day, but you can definitely lose one.
- Plan Your Week
Keep a set and organized schedule for your entire week. The more that you know what your schedule is going to look like, the less frantic and stressed you will be. You will know where you have to be, what time you have to be there, and what is going on throughout your day. Don’t just wing it, because then you will be running around like a wild turkey all week long.
- Get active and get moving
We have all heard it before, the more you workout, the better you will feel. Even if you only have 20 extra minutes on a Monday afternoon, get outside and either go for a walk or a run. By staying committed and exercising every Monday, you are practicing good self-control while getting your body and mind off to the proper start.
There are just a few of the best tips to get over the Monday blues. Instead of hating Mondays, force yourself to learn to love them. If we tell ourself that we don’t like something, we are immediately giving our brain a negative image. If we instantly force ourselves to be happy, then the happier and more productive that we will be. Seriously people, it is all in our heads. Don’t jump on the bandwagon of hating Mondays. Set an example and show people why Mondays are truly the best day of the week.
