How Daily Blogging Is Changing My Life
Today’s post is going to be short and simple. One week ago, I made a commitment to blog every day for 365 days. I set out on a mission to focus on providing value and inspiration to others through writing about my daily life. I have always wanted to be the person to motivate and inspire others, but I had no idea how much I would actually learn about myself by writing my thoughts down on a website. Needless to say, daily blogging changed my life.
I am not going to go overboard and see that it is the best thing that has ever happened to me. If I said that, it would be a lie. But blogging has created an outlet for me to express my emotions and to challenge myself, all with the focus of inspiring others who share similar battles. No matter how good or bad my day is, I can just write. I write what I want to write about and I can just clear my thoughts.
In yesterday’s post I talked about the weight being lifted off of me and feeling liberated. Well, that is what blogging, and this blog specifically provides for me. Liberation. I feel free and I feel open. There is no rule on what I can write and how much to write, it is just me writing my thoughts.
Of course there are challenges. There are challenges with everything you do in life. By blogging about these challenges, I am able to express my emotions and look back on them to see how I approached a situation. Not only is blogging challenging for me because I have committed to writing a post everyday, but it also requires me to think outside of the box and constantly push myself to have a better mentality about life.
My life has been a constant hill of ups and downs. Battling depression, anxiety, and eating disorders has changed who I am as a person, but it has also helped me to grow and to teach me a lot about myself. Every step of the way, the people closest to me have supported me and given me strength. I want to provide for you what my family has provided for me. I want to provide you will strength and motivation to overcome any obstacle in life no matter how big or small.
By blogging, I am not only able to reflect on my life, but I am also able to try and help others. Helping others is all about what life is about. Sometimes, we just need is a little extra push of encouragement, and that is what I am here to provide. Together, we can do anything we set our minds to, all we have to do is believe.
So from the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my story. This blog was designed to help inspire others, but at this point, I think that it is more-so encouraging me to continue to dig deep, reflect on my life, and to tell my story.
Last but certainly not least, thank you to my family. You have been there for me every step of the way and I am beyond grateful to have such an amazing support system to help guide me in the right path.
