So often we try to give what we don’t have, and as a result, we fail. Everything first starts with you! If you want to positively impact the world around you and change the lives of others on a daily basis, then you first need to be willing to change yours. Forget what others say about how it’s selfish to put your needs before the needs of others. Like attracts like. Any loving relationship is a result of two individuals bringing out the best in each other. As soon as that starts to change, that’s when relationships begin to fall apart, not just with others, but with ourselves as well.
One can’t be motivated and be experiencing feelings of self-doubt at the same time, it’s just not how motivation works. When you are motivated and determined, it’s because you are in a positive state of mind. You believe in yourself, you believe that you have the ability to achieve any and all of your goals, and you believe that there is nothing that can stand in your way. All of that comes as a result of having a positive attitude. When your attitude is anything but positive, you will simply never reach your true potential.
Having a positive attitude helps us to find our meaning in life. When we are focusing on all of the good that fills our lives, we are able to see just how fortunate we are. Not only that, but a positive attitude helps us to think clearly. It helps us to say “This is me, and this is what I am meant to do.” or “I was created to do this and to help others with that.”
In a negative state of mind, our thoughts are cloudy and anything but clear. It is in a negative state of mind that we fall into the trap of trying to keep up with the Joneses, or fall victim to becoming the person that others want us to become instead of being the individuals that we were meant to be.
When in a negative state of mind, nobody can be optimistic about the present or the future. You simply can’t think one way and feel a completely different way at the same time. Your thoughts become your reality.
When you are able to maintain a positive attitude, you won’t have to worry about this. It doesn’t matter what the challenge may be directly in front of you, having a positive attitude allows you to look at any challenge and simply say “Bring it on!” You don’t care about what others think or the labels you may be breaking. Having a positive attitude allows you to completely disregard the word “IMPOSSIBLE” and instead allows you to see “I’M POSSIBLE.”
Positive individuals are optimistic and hopeful. This isn’t a false sense of optimism or hope either… it’s realizing the true power that each and every one of us has.
Happiness is about accepting yourself, about loving yourself for all of your flaws and mistakes, about learning from your past, and about becoming a better version of you each and every single day. When you focus on the positives and see all that you already are as a human, you find a sense of happiness inside of you and there is nothing or anybody that will be able to take that away from you.
