Life doesn’t come with a guidebook. There is no one right or wrong way to live your life. But for some reason, so many of us walk through life as if there is. Instead of trying, we simply try to find all of the “right” answers before even getting started.
We look to others for inspiration and try to copy the blueprints that have already been mapped out. We search for hidden keys that may help lead us to our big break. We follow in the exact footsteps of others hoping that we too will be able to attract our dreams.
In doing so, what we are failing to realize is that everybody is different. No one person has the same skillset, the same thought patterns, the same life circumstances, or even the same dreams for that matter.
The journey is going to look different for everybody, and the more you try to mimic somebody else’s journey, the longer it’s going to take to attract the life you desire. This is your life to live, so start living it your way.
It’s not going to be an easy ride either. The game of life requires strength, determination, resiliency, and wisdom. Those who are looking for instantaneous success are going to be disappointed. But those who are willing to never give up are the ones who will ultimately fulfill their dreams.
How To Attract The Life You Desire
There are many ways to use the Law of Attraction to attract the life you desire. While some methods may work for others, they may not work for you. Find what works best for you. Try each method, and if it isn’t helping you get closer towards living your dreams, change it, or implement new strategies.
1. Creating Vision Boards
A vision board can be a magnitude of things. It can either be a ton of words written out or printed onto a poster, it can include many images, or it can be a combination of both. Again, there is no right or wrong way to create a vision board.
Vision boards are meant to contain images and words that resonate with your vision – the things that you want to attract in life.
Vision boards work for two main reasons. The first reason is that when you are initially creating your vision board, you are forced to focus on what it is that you truly want to attract. You have to think about what matters the most to you and how you want your life to look.
The second reason is that vision boards serve as a reminder of the things you want to attract. I have my vision board right next to my bedroom door so that when I leave my room in the morning, I am reminded of what my vision is.
2. Practicing Visualization
Visualization is another great way to help you attract the life you desire. At any point in your day (try doing it multiple times if you can), simply close your eyes and visualize what your dream life looks like. What are some of the things that you want to achieve? Where do you envision yourself being? What do your surroundings look like? Focus on every detail of that vision, because the more you focus on the detail, the more real that vision will feel and become.
Every morning, after I write in my gratitude journal, I close my eyes and visualize my goals. Because I tend to be a forgetful person, I have my goals written down and will close my eyes, recite them, and envision what my life will look like when I achieve my goals.
3. Starting A Gratitude Lists
One of the easiest ways to help you attract the life you desire is to start a gratitude list. The Universe is going to be more likely to give you more of the things that you are already grateful for. If you are grateful for your happiness, you will likely continue to experience more happiness. If you are grateful for your strength, you will likely continue to feel strong and powerful. If you are grateful for money, money will likely continue to flow into your life.
The Universe will give you more of the things that you have positive emotions towards, so when you take the time to express gratitude for the things you are most grateful for, you will attract more of them into your life.
Make a list of what you are grateful for in the morning. Make a list of what you are grateful for before you go to bed. Just learn to be grateful and express that gratitude on a frequent basis.
4. Being Mindful
Mindfulness is all about being present and aware of your thoughts and surroundings. When you practice mindfulness, you are becoming aware of the very thoughts that are passing through your mind, the things that you want to achieve, and the state of being in which you are currently in.
Mindfulness isn’t about changing anything in specific, but rather about listening to your mind and allowing your mind to guide you towards the thoughts that you most want to attract. It’s an important part of the Law of Attraction because practicing mindfulness allows you to truly listen to your heart and to allow your heart to guide you.
5. Using Affirmations
Affirmations are a great way to help people get into a positive state of mind. It’s about eliminating all negative thoughts and only focusing on the thoughts in which you want to reflect.
Positive affirmations would include:
- I am worthy of being loved.
- I am capable of achieving my dreams and desires.
- I fully embrace and am willing to work for the life that I desire.
- I attract the good in life because I choose to focus on the good.
Affirmations work because the more you use them, the more you start to full-heartedly believe them. If you want to attract the life that you desire, then you need to believe that you are capable of attracting it. Using affirmations will help you to do just that.
6. Finding Freedom Through Movement
Part of the Law of Attraction is listening to yourself and letting go of all your negative beliefs. One way to help release your negative beliefs is to find freedom through movement and let them out. Whether it’s exercising, dancing, or just shaking your body, the next time you start to feel tense and constricted by negativity, shake it off.
If you are embarrassed to do so, do it in private. Dance in your bedroom, move in the shower, whatever it is, let go of your negative beliefs and let movement help you to do so. When you let go of negativity, you will have a much easier time focusing on the positives in life, thus helping you to attract the life you desire.
Before You Go
Some people are embarrassed to admit that they believe in the Law of Attraction. I once felt this way as well. But then I started practicing it and started seeing some of the benefits associated with it. From my own personal experience, it truly works.
Whatever it is that you want to achieve in life, just know that you have the power to do so. That doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy, but you have the ability to turn any dream into your reality. In order to do so, it needs to start with belief. Believe in yourself, believe in your abilities and all that you’re worth, and believe in living the life you envision living. As long as you keep moving forward with everything you got, your dreams will soon become your reality.
