The confidence you have in yourself is everything. It is what can either make you, or it is what can break you. It is what will determine your success, or it is what will lead to your failures.
In order to achieve your true and fullest potential, you need to feel more confident in yourself and in your actions.
Everyone can use an extra little boost of confidence in their life. Whether it’s with a job interview, talking with strangers, even just in your everyday life, the more confident you feel, the better you tend to do.
The problem isn’t that you don’t know how to be confident in yourself. The problem is that you choose to focus on the negatives in life and allow the negatives in life to overshadow your strengths.
Nobody is born having all the self-confidence in the world or not having any at all. The confidence that you feel in yourself comes from your past experiences, how you perceive those past experiences, and how you perceive yourself.
A life full of positives will lead to greater levels of self-confidence. A life focused on the contrary, however, will lead to a life that will reflect as such.
5 Simple Thoughts To Help You Feel More Confident
Confidence is an emotion and a feeling that we all experience. The frequency of it depends on the individual, but it is a feeling that we have the power to manipulate to some extent.
If you are struggling to feel more confident in both yourself and in your abilities, the first step is to change your mind. Once you change your mind, you will change your life.
Your life is an exact reflection of the thoughts you allow into your brain, as well as a reflection of the thoughts you choose to accept.
Nobody is “stuck” feeling low levels of self-confidence forever. But if you want to change how you feel about yourself, then you must first change how you think.
Here are 5 simple thoughts to help you feel more confident.
1. “I have the ability to be and do as I wish.”
That’s right, you do have the ability to be and do as you wish. The life that you are living is yours. It isn’t your parents’ life to live, it isn’t your friends’ life to live, it isn’t your spouse’s life to live, it is yours! Be whoever you want to be and do whatever you want to do.
The main reason why individuals struggle to feel more confident in their abilities is because they listen to others and do the things that you don’t care to be doing.
When you act out of line with your belief and do the things that hold little meaning to you, no shit you’re not going to feel confident.
As somebody who had lived this way for many years, it sucked! And it wasn’t until I started being my true self and doing the things that I wanted to do with my life that I was able to feel more confident in myself.
2. “I am the master of my thoughts, and my thoughts become my reality.”
To take responsibility for your thoughts is to take responsibility for your life. Life may not have been full of butterflies and rainbows in the past, but don’t look back because you aren’t going that way. Look ahead! Stay focused, keep your eyes on the prize, and affirm the thoughts that are going to get you from where you are now to where you want to be.
Nobody can think your thoughts for you. You are the sole being who is responsible for the thoughts in which you choose to accept and reflect. Change your life by grabbing the steering wheel and take control of how you think.
3. “I attract the good because the good is what I focus on.”
If you want more good in life, then you need to focus on the good that already fills your life. If you want to feel more confident in who you are and in your abilities, then you need to focus on your strengths and prioritize the things you are already good at.
You aren’t going to manifest good if you choose to focus on the contrary. Good, and more of it, will only come to those who actively pursue it. That means removing any thoughts but good thoughts from your subconscious mind.
Take note of how I only say “good.” When something is all but good, I won’t call it what it is. I will either refer to it as the contrary of good or anything but good. The reason is because your subconscious mind only focuses on words, not meanings. When you say “contrary to good” or “anything but good” it still sees good, and thus will manifest more good into your life.
Are we good? Okay, good.
4. “I am happy and will celebrate the success of those around me.”
Again, you will only attract more good if you choose to focus on the good. That means celebrating the success of others, genuinely feeling happy for them, and learning from them.
If you allow your desires to get in the way of feeling happy for others and crave the success of others instead of celebrating with them, you are always going to remain one step behind.
Good comes to those that do good unto others and who celebrate the victories of others no matter where they are at. The more envious and jealous we allow ourselves to become, the longer it’s going to take to feel more confident in ourselves.
5. “I am turning my dreams into my reality.”
Day in and day out, believe this statement with all of your heart. Don’t look back at the past. Focus on the here and the now, and what it is that you can do this very moment to get closer to achieving the life you desire.
When you acknowledge that you are turning your dreams into your reality, you will find a sense of motivation to continue to progress in doing so. Not only that, but you will also act with more confidence, thus reaching your true and full potential.
Before You Go
Remember, who you are, what you feel, and what you do in life all starts with the very thoughts in which you think. Everything you need is already within you – you just need to look from within, focus on being the person who you want to be, and let your greatness flow from your soul.
If you want to feel more confident in yourself and in your abilities, you can. So do yourself a favor – let go of any thoughts and emotions but the positive ones, and take action towards living the life you deserve to live.
