Here are the 5 rules to win the day, everyday
I was driving to work this morning seeking a little extra motivation. Whenever I am looking for a little bit of a boost, I go right to my favorite podcast, Gary Vaynerchuk’s Audio Experience. The podcast that I chose to listen to was 5 Rules To Win The Day. After listening to the podcast, I was ready to rock and freaking roll. Here are his 5 rules to win the day and how you can apply them to your life.
- Confidence and self-esteem
In order to win, you have to have confidence and high self-esteem. Life is nothing but one big competition. All of these factors such as social media, work, family, whatever it might be, the thought of being the best is what drives us. The thought is what gets us out of bed in the morning and gets us through the day. But without confidence, we are nothing. You aren’t going to win at life if you can’t learn to love yourself. Having that confidence is what’s going to help you make decisions, take risks, and win.
Stay positive and surround yourself with only positivity and positive people. There are going to be many people out there who are going to try to bring you down because they don’t want to others succeed. It goes back on what I said earlier about life being a competition. When you succeed, others will become jealous until they reach your success. Take these people, and remove them from your life. If you keep negative people around, it will only further you from your goals and aspirations. They don’t help you in anyway whatsoever, so just move on.
- Know your strength and grow your weaknesses
This is not what was said in the podcast, but I personally feel that it is better. The original podcast says that we need to put our strengths over our weaknesses. While part of this is true, it is also important to grow our weaknesses. Know your strengths and craft what you are best at, but at the same time, try to improve on your weaknesses. If you are able to maintain your strengths while growing your weaknesses, you are going to be one strong individual.
- Creating a legacy
Well, I had to bite these words… Life is not about money. Forget about the fancy cars, the giant mansions, or the large bank accounts. The only thing that you should be thinking about is what you did for others and how people are going to remember you after you are gone. 50 years from now, nobody is going to give a damn about what car you were driving or the number in your bank account. They are only going to care about what type of person you were and what you did to help the world. If they don’t care, then why should you?
- Work your freaking butt off
There is not one successful person that got to where they are by being lazy. If you want something and you want it bad enough, you need to put the work in to achieve it. It is plain and simple, if you don’t work hard, you lost and will continue to lose the game of life.
Wow. If this isn’t going to motivate you to be better every single day, I don’t know what will. All of that information in 2-minute segment on Gary Vaynerchuk’s podcast. If you ask me, you can take more away from these two minutes than you could in months of studying or seeking for answers yourself. In all seriousness, these are some of the best tips that ANYONE can give you to win at life. Use them, go out there, and achieve your dreams.
