The 5 reasons you need to be reading blogs
Everybody on the face of this planet has been told that we should be reading more. I say lets do it. No, I am not talking about sitting down for hours upon hours and reading books, I am talking about reading blogs. Many people (myself included) overlook many learning possibilities and do not realize the benefits of following countless blogs and reading them daily. Today, we are going to look at some reasons why you NEED to be reading blogs, and more of them.
As I was going through my emails today, I couldn’t help but notice how many pointless blogs that I was subscribed to. Blogs that I didn’t even know existed or have never read were popping up on my screen. Before I was about to unsubscribe from all of these lists, I stopped. I realized that there was a benefit to remaining subscribed to all of these blogs. That’s right, even though I had never read some of them before, they were still providing value to me.

Increased knowledge
Everything that we read will provide some sense of new information to us. It will challenge us, make us think, and ultimately fill our brains. The more knowledge that we have, the better opportunity that we will have to face any challenge that is thrown at us. So ultimately, if you are reading numerous blogs, you are getting a wide variety of topics thrown at you.
-
Hearing the ideas of others
The nice thing about blogs is that bloggers tend to focus on a specific niche that they specialize in. By going through my email today, I came across 20 unread stories just from the last two days alone. In these 20 articles were about 20 different ideas from others. Ideas that can challenge me and make me think about a topic that I had not thought about before.

Blogs help to provide motivation
As you may have seen from my previous posts, the last few days have been exceptionally difficult. I was getting in my own head and just had a negative mood. Negative emotions are a huge part of why I follow so many blogs and people on other social media sites. We all need to realize that we aren’t alone in any challenge that we might face. There are always going to be others that have faced similar challenges and have done so successfully. Following these blogs will give you the insight from someone else’s perspective and can benefit you by providing you with information on how to overcome a challenge.
-
It is free
That’s right, there is actually something free in life. Not only don’t you have to pay to subscribe to blogs, but the information and articles will actually be well written articles (except for mine). Another benefit is that they will be sent directly to your email inbox. Bloggers actually want their content to be seen by others so they notify you when a new article is posted instead of waiting for you to remember to go back to their website.

It will inspire you to create
When you see the amount of blogs that others are writing on topics that you like, you will want to create similar content. When I first started this blog, I followed very few bloggers. The more that I followed, the more I wanted to write. Honestly, I am so happy that I followed every blog that I could. It has challenged me and made me want to write, write, write. Now, this blog acts as an outlet for me and lets me get thoughts out of my head. All I want to do is create new content and it stems from following blogs.
Final thoughts
See, I told you that there are numerous benefits to blogging. I can’t tell you how happy I am that I started following blogs and eventually writing blogs of my own. It has actually helped my health and helped me to grow as a person. Instead of bottling all of these thoughts in my head and wondering how I can be of value to people, I can write what it on my mind for others to see. So now that you have read this article, I hope you can see the benefits of following blogs. All of these benefits for now price at all. That sounds like the best deal ever.
