Motivation can sometimes be a difficult feeling to come by. There are times where we all get stuck in a rut and just need that extra little boost to get us going again.
Motivational podcasts are a great tool to use if you want to get out of that rut.
Personally, I am somebody who starts every morning by listening to a motivational podcast. I start each morning out with a run and motivational podcasts are the only thing that I will listen to while I am running.
I have noticed that listening to motivational podcasts has helped me to take my mind off of the grueling mountain runs that I have been doing over the last few months, and overall, they just help to put me in a better mood as I start the day.
Whether you are somebody looking for motivation in business, motivation for goal-setting, or just more motivation for life as a whole, I want to share with you what I think are the 10 best motivational podcasts of 2020. And yes, for the record, I do actually listen to all of these podcasts.
10 Best Motivational Podcasts of 2020
I am just a big GaryVee fan in general. Every time I turn on the podcast, I know I can expect an instant wave of motivation from Gary’s no b.s. approach.
This show is going to cover a wide variety of topics such as growing a business, managing relationships, and just being a better person as a whole.
If you are somebody who thinks you’re too busy to chase your goals or don’t have enough time to do the things you want in life, you need to listen to GaryVee. Not only will he help you to realize that all you have is time, but he is a man who practices only what he preaches.
The School of Greatness is a great show to listen to if you just need a little more inspiration and motivation in life. Howes is going to help you to feel more confident in yourself while helping you grow into the person you want to become.
The best part about this podcast is that he shares knowledge only from his life experiences and the experiences of guests that he brings on the show. Howes was somebody who used to live on his sister’s couch and would drive motivational speakers to conferences in NYC as a way to get his name out there – at least he did this for GaryVee.
Howes’s podcast isn’t just about growing as a person. It’s also about overcoming the many obstacles of life, dreaming big, becoming a champion, and also attracting the very life you want for yourself. If you’re struggling to find motivation, this is another great podcast to listen to.
Sam Crowley’s podcast is more about how to grow a business, but what I find incredibly motivational about this podcast is that Crowley only records this podcast with a cheap microphone from the inside of his car each and every single day.
That’s right, if you are someone who is wanting to start a podcast or any goal for that matter, Crowley is proof that you don’t need a lot to get started or even to grow. His podcast has helped him continue to grow his seven-figure business, and it’s done so with nothing more than a cheap microphone and his car as his recording studio.
I think we can all agree the Oprah is pretty much the coolest person on the face of the planet, but her podcast is even better than she is!
Oprah’s show will honestly help you to become the best version of you that you can possibly be. From the interviews with thought-leaders, authors, and other health and wellness experts there is always something that will resonate well with you. The conversations help to encourage and motivate you to look within and discover what you’re truly passionate about, while incorporating tips that will help you to master your life day by day.
Optimal Living Daily is a bit of a different podcast, but one that I really like.
As someone who loves reading blogs but doesn’t always have time to read them, this show is perfect for me. Optimal Living Daily reads popular blog posts from some of the most well-known names in the personal development and self-improvement field with permission from the authors of course.
Brendon Burchard is an author, motivational speaker, and personal-development coach originally from Montana. He is originally best known for his book The Millionaire Messenger, which quickly became a New York Times Best Seller. Now, he has a podcast and offers advice on how to excel in all areas of your life.
He publishes two episodes every week. One talks about his personal experiences and what he’s learned, while the other episode is more of a training show for how you can improve essentially any aspect of your life.
The episodes range from 10 minutes to over an hour long. The podcast covers a wide variety of topics such as risk-taking, hope, meaning and purpose, insecurity, growth, goals, love, and more.
What I find incredibly motivating about Tiny Leaps Big Changes is Gregg Clunis’s will to never give up. Seriously, I have been following him since the start of his podcast. It has been amazing to watch him grow his podcast and also write the book Tiny Leaps, Big Changes: Everyday Strategies to Accomplish More, Crush Your Goals, and Create the Life You Want.
If you’re looking for ways to improve all areas of your life, achieve more success, become happier in your personal life, or simply become a better version of who you are today, listen to this show and see how it can help you. Remember, it’s the tiny leaps that lead to big changes.
Chris Guillebeau has quickly become one of my favorite podcasters, authors, and entrepreneurs in general. As a guy who’s traveled to every single country in the world, he is now sharing his ideas as well as the ideas of others for what you can do to start a side hustle. As someone who has made millions from different side hustles, I think we can all agree that Guillebeau is at the very top of the side hustling industry.
Sure, the daily show can be a little much for some, but each episode lasts no more than 10 minutes. Chris challenges you to take action on your ideas by sharing stories of people who have successfully built side hustles in basically any field of interest. He shares with you their story of how they found the idea, what they’re doing, how much they’re making, and how many of them turned their side hustle into their primary source of income.
I started listening to The Dave Ramsey Show rather recently, but I am glad I started. As somebody who is on the quest for financial independence, Ramsey is arguably one of the most qualified individuals to take advice from.
This show will help educate you on how to take control of the funds that you have available to you to make smarter financial decisions. Ramsey takes calls and questions from listeners and shares his expertise about better money habits such as budgeting and paying off all debts (except the house mortgage), as well as different ways to invest their money moving forward.
This is another daily show, and on most days there will even be two episodes. If you want to learn how to get out of debt and manage your money, this show is for you.
I personally believe Ed Mylett is one of the best motivational speakers on the face of the planet. While his podcast is called The Ed Mylett Show, it’s also known as “The #maxout show“ where Mylett will help you to max out your life.
Ed Mylett is an ultra-successful entrepreneur who has built an online empire single-handedly and was even listed on Forbes as the richest 50 under 50. Now, not only does Mylett share his knowledge with you, but he also interviews some of the biggest names such as Brendon Burchard, Gary Vaynerchuck, Phil Mickelson, and Maria Shriver. There isn’t anything this amazing podcast doesn’t cover.
Before You Go
There are a lot of other amazing podcasts out there, these are just 10 of my favorites.
If you are looking for ways to take your life to the next level and maximize your growth as an individual, I strongly encourage you to listen to some of these podcasts. They have helped me to find motivation in all areas of my life, and I know they will do the same for you as well.
